Local Employment

The Indicative Site Layout Plan shows an area of approximately 0.8 ha for employment purposes providing floorspace for local businesses and employment opportunities for local people. It shows provision of accommodation for which site marketing indicates there is demand.

The Indicative Site Layout Plan incorporates an office building amounting to some 670 sq.m (7,200 sq.ft), employing up to 70 people, and three industrial / warehouse units which could accommodate a range of industrial and warehousing uses. These would provide floorspace totalling approx 4,000 sqm and jobs for up to 105 people.

If for any reason we are unable to provide a healthcare centre on the site we would provide additional employment uses on that part of the site. This would involve some relocation of the designated office block, and four three storey starter units to be situated fronting Rendham Road.

There would also be smaller industrial/warehousing buildings to be located on the west side of the site where they are kept away from the proposed residential development and also screen the A12.
